We see the poor,
starving, helpless people of other countries, we take pity, want to help, wish
we could tend to all their needs with Christ-like love and gentleness…
Yet,
awful as their lives do seem, I can’t help but think how many people, here,
around us, in comfort, who may have to spend eternity in an infinitely worse
place than any known to man. In light of eternity, this life is so temporary.
These bodies will soon die. Our chief concern is souls! Even here, in America,
there is great work to be done!
I pray the Lord to give me a STIRRING in my spirit, a pressing burden to pray and evangelize for the gospel's sake and for the growth of the Kingdom!
“[Paul’s] spirit was STIRRED with him, when he saw the city wholly given to idolatry” (Acts 17:16).
“Paul was PRESSED in
the spirit, and testified to the Jews that Jesus was Christ” (Acts 18:5).
